If you’re one of the many who enjoy science fictions, the City of Ember is an outstanding book/movie rated almost 5 stars! It’s a post apocalypse science fiction about a city living underground for years and their time is running out. In this city, a generator built to only last so long is about to run out of power. So, why not just leave? For decades, the people of Ember have relied off of their ancestors advice telling them how dangerous it would be if they tried to escape. Although they fear the death of darkness, Lina, the main character rapidly watches her grandmother’s health decrease along with her family scarred for their lives. Finally, Lina steps up to the plate and sets off on an adventure with her friend, Doon, to find the outside world. They find a set of instructions from the “builders” and go on a wild boat ride to hopefully, freedom. The story is an intense climax and is definitely worth watching.
