Shortly after relocating to Los Angeles, workers carry the St. Louis Rams 1999 Super Bowl banner out of the Edward Jones Dome.

Dear Mr. Kroenke,

Did you really have to lie about the city of St. Louis to get your way? It seems to me that you had convinced the NFL owners to vote in your favor anyway. I just wonder if it was necessary to put in your 29-page relocation proposal, that St. Louis can’t support three professional sports teams. That’s simply not true. The Rams sold out a lot more than other teams with better records.

In case you didn’t know, St. Louis was voted the best sports city in America by “The Wall Street Journal.” I guess that’s not good enough for you. Incase you didn’t know, in 2015, the Rams were the only St. Louis team that finished under .500, with both the Cardinals and Blues going to the playoffs. The fact that you bear the names of two of St. Louis’ most beloved sports figures must mean nothing to you, even though you took great pride in stating that fact when you wanted to purchase the Rams.

In your proposal you said you had made “significant” investments in the team and that the people of St. Louis didn’t attend games. That’s simply not true. What are those “significant” investments? Bad draft picks? You as an owner staying away from all media and refusing to speak about anything to do with the Rams? A team that has been sub-par since you took over as majority owner? Those don’t sound like “significant” investments.

St. Louis deserves more. Football fans in St. Louis deserve more. The city even gave a magnificent stadium plan that wasn’t good enough for you. You wanted your entertainment “mecca.”

Well, in three years you shall have your entertainment “mecca,” but for now you’ll have to settle for being known for having no integrity or loyalty.

The city of St. Louis will be just fine. We still have two WINNING teams to cheer on that want to stay here, and are very proud to be here. Go Cardinals! Go Blues!

Sincerely,

Randy Black
