Pitch Perfect 2 was a hilarious sequel about what happens to the Barden Bellas in their senior year of college. When a wardrobe disaster almost means the end of the Bellas, they are given a second chance. If they somehow are able to beat all of the international a cappella groups they will be allowed to continue competing. The movie takes you on a journey of ups and downs leading up to the Bellas’s World Championship performance.

The movie did a great job of developing the idea of finding who you are and going after what you want. With the return of characters like Beca, Jesse, and Fat Amy, viewers of the movie will learn a lot about what it takes and means to follow your dreams.

Another key theme throughout the movie was working for what you want. Each of the girls are looking to accomplish something different before they leave Barden University behind. The movie did a great job of tracing each characters’ desires and what they did to ultimately be the person they wanted to be.

As a senior with less than two weeks until graduation, I found the movie extremely relatable. Although the movie made me tear up from emotions about graduating, it also had me laughing the whole way through. Pitch Perfect 2 is a movie that can make anyone fall in love with a cappella.
