What is it like to be in theater? According to a student at Mehlville High School and A Crew Member for this years production of SIX (Who asked that he remain anonymous.)
“Don’t be discouraged to try new things, Everyone in the department is extremely accepting! If you don’t get the role you were hoping for you should use it as an opportunity to further practice and embrace the role you got rather than be upset about it.”
For freshmen interested in going into theater but don’t know much about the theater department,Jade Tentschert (Sophomore, Crew.) discusses the good and the not so good aspects of theater from her own experience.
“I think some of the best parts would be getting to know and working with people, Although the auditioning isn’t so great… It’s a little nerve-racking but worth it in the end.”
So if the idea of being in productions such as revamped Broadway shows like SIX, Or The Wizard of Oz interests you, You should join Theater.
