With homecoming being less than a month away, excitement is building for the annual Powder Puff game. This tradition pits juniors against seniors in an intense flag football match that brings the school community together.
A returning member, Maya Drikow explained that Powder Puff is a traditional flag football game between the seniors and juniors held before homecoming. Audrey Bailey stated that every girl junior and senior is welcome to play at the Powder Puff game. One of the team captains Gavin Drikow, mentioned that you must attend 2 out of the 5 practices that they schedule to be guaranteed for play time during the Powder Puff game. Senior Lucy Ledbetter said her favorite part of Powder Puff is the energy, especially the thrill of unexpectedly smoking people by running past opponents. Rylie Harper highly recommends Powder Puff to new juniors and seniors, as it helps you bond with other girls in your grade and is just a fun experience overall.
