Last Friday’s football game against the Northwest Lions ended in a seven to twelve loss for the Panthers, but the Mehlville community was able to come together and raise support for an officer injured in the line of duty. Ferguson police officer TJ Brown, a 2006 Mehlville alumni, was recently hurt by a protester and fell into a coma in early August. After hearing the devastating news, Mehlville quickly stepped into action by selling ‘Team TJ’ shirts and taking donations to help support the officer’s medical bills. Together, Mehlville raised over two thousand dollars for officer Brown.
