Thursday Night Football was a back-and forth-game to say the least. The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants both lacked the ability to finish in the red zone, and the final score was 20-15 with a Dallas’ victory. The Giants managed to only score on field goals via Greg Joseph 5-5 with a long of 52 yards. The Giants had a very hard time running the football averaging 1.1 yard per carry on 24 carries. The run decimated the Cowboys Defense was last week, so this was a shock for everyone.

The game was riddled with penalties and injuries, including the Giants break-out rookie Wide-Receiver Malik Nabers (12 receptions for 115 yards) who was hit late in the game and quickly diagnosed with a concussion. He’ll be back and just as amazing in a few weeks. Another notable Receiver performance was Ceedee Lamb who had 7 receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown. It was a passing game, Tight-Ends got involved but the main spectacles were those 2 talented Receivers.

By NFL standards the game was quite boring, a lack of explosive play, lots of  penalties, and a low score all made it a difficult watch. The Cowboys Place Kicker Brandon Aubrey is a shooter, but missed the third field goal of his career. That is bound to happen when he is called on from 60+ yard often, he went 2-3 with a 60 yard make. But that doesn’t save this game’s rating, watching kickers is only fun when the game is on the line and the kicks did not make the difference in this one. Seven field goals were made in total while only 2 touchdowns (both by the Cowboys) were scored. The game was just slightly below average and henceforth earned a rating of ⅖ stars.
