On Jan. 17, the Mehlville Boys Varsity Basketball Team will hold their annual Senior Night. To honor the Senior boys on the team. In order to do so, a ceremony will be held before the game to honor the Senior students on their team as they head off to pursue their futures.
At the ensuing basketball game, STUCO is hosting a group-participation fundraiser, known as “Chuck-A-Duck”, where all of the proceeds will go to support Special Olympics, an event that will take place on April 17 at MHS.
Attendees of the game can purchase rubber ducks at the door. These ducks will then be thrown onto the court later that night by participants. The ducks that land closest to the center of the court will earn their throwers a Chick-Fil-A gift card.
“Everyone should participate,” STUCO Officer and event coordinator Elliott Parai said. “It’s fun, and it’s for a good cause.”
