“The Mehlville School District mission…” reads the Mehlville Early Childhood website, “is to build a high-performing school system rooted in the community’s desire to build a culture of improvement for staff and students.”
As a part of this goal, the Early Childhood program at Bierbaum has proposed offering full-day childcare at Bierbaum Elementary, a proposition that was approved by the Mehlville Board of Education on Jan. 16, 2025.
This is the first time such a program has been approved by the Mehlville Board, and if the program goes well, it is possible that similar programs will be approved at different schools throughout the district.
Class will be held Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a tuition of $800 per month.
There is currently enough space to accommodate two full classes, with families who currently have children in the Early Childhood Program receiving early access to registration. Remaining spots will be made available on Feb. 14, 2025 at 8 a.m. to any other interested families.
