Missouri schools face a new challenge with cell phones. Governor Mike Kehoe recently signed Senate Bill 68, a bill covering school safety.
Within that bill it covers a section of phone use during school hours; this means that from the start of school to the last bell of the day students will not be allowed to use cell phones, airpods, smartwatches, or any personal communications device.
This law is also in place so students can be focused on teachers, their assignments, and exams.
For many students this will be a hard challenge to face due to cell phones being devices that students use daily.
Fortunately this does not only affect students because administrators, teachers, and even school board members have to follow this law.
With this law changing how students change their usage with their devices, schools can only hope this improves more focus upon students.
