The Mehlville Majorettes twirl into action, led by seniors Amila Filipovic, and Lilly Burch with the help of sophomore Aurora Hawkins and freshman Nora Howard. This small squad of four delivers dazzling performances at football games on Friday nights.
Your Mehlville Majorettes have mastered the skill of staying composed in front of large crowds, and capitalizing on their routines.
In an interview with senior Lilly Burch she explained how she blocks out the pressure of the crowd.
“When I feel pressured by large crowds, I just remember what I practiced and I know im able to do it because this is what I love”
The team showcases a variety of complex routines that always leaves fans amazed.
While interviewing Captain Amila Filipovic I asked her what struggles come with making a routine for her and her team, here’s what she had to say.
“A struggle is trying not to do the same stuff over and over, because we are very limited on choreography”
Behind the pep rallies and Friday night performances the team has their mind set on competing at nationals in Indiana.
You can find them performing at halftime of all Mehlville Home football games and show your support and Panther pride.
