“Greetings from the lunch room Panthers.”

This familiar phrase echoes throughout the halls to begin students’ days. The voice behind the phrase is Roy Clemens.

Roy Clemens is the Kitchen Manager here at Mehlville High School and also announces the football and basketball games.  He has been Mehlville’s favorite Kitchen manager for some time now.  

“I’ve been kitchen manager at Mehlville for about 15 years, and I loved every second of it,” Clemens said.  

Clemens enjoys  being in the cafeteria, making tasty meals and helping students.  

“I love being around the kids and making sure that they get a good meal while they are learning here at Mehlville,”  Clemens said.  

The other thing Clemens loves is that he announces for the Mehlville Panther football and basketball teams.  

“I have been announcing at football games for around eight years, but I have also been announcing basketball games for 2-3 years,” Clemens said. 

Clemens has a great deal of experience in sports over his lifetime and couldn’t be more of the right fit to announce for Mehlville’s games.  

“I played lots of sports in high school but played soccer in college, and I have also been a referee for over 25 years,”  Clemens said.

Clemens continues to be  an important figure here at Mehlville for many students and an example of what it means to have school pride.
