Shelby Gibson: 13 years.
MM: What position do you play? What does that position do?
SG: I play wing. This is an offensive player who attacks the goal and often crosses the ball to the striker.
MM: What are your personal goals this season?
SG: To get more goals and assists this season than last season.
MM: What are your team goals this season?
SG: To come together more as a team and for us to give it our all every game.
MM: What is your best soccer memory?
SG: Playing telephone with Harper before a soccer game or when I scored a header from Alison Wade.
MM: What do you think is the strongest part of your game?
SG: The strongest part of my game is probably being fast.
MM: What are your pre-game rituals?
SG: I usually listen to Eminem and eat Reeseās,
MM: What got you interested in soccer?
SG: Well, my brother liked it and I always liked to run, so I decided to try it plus my mom made me.
MM: What is your favorite thing about soccer?
SG: I love everything about it, it is all so intense.
MM: Do you plan on going to college for soccer?
SG: No, I plan on going to STLCOP for pharmacy.
MM: What do you do in the offseason to prepare?
SG: I run all year round and usually I always play soccer.
MM: Do you have any mentors you look up to for soccer?
SG: Alex Morgan
MM: What does the team need to do this year to improve from last year?
SG: I think the team needs to communicate better and make sure to finish.
MM: Do you have any advice for people wanting to play soccer?
SG: Never give up and keep trying your hardest.
