TAP is used for catching up on work, studying and receiving help from your teachers. There has been an on-going battle on whether or not TAP is being used to its full potential due to the TAP lessons and rules.
“TAP is good for catching up on work. The lessons are pointless and they take away from work time,” said Alie Davis, senior.
Although the lessons are meant to help students, most agree they would rather not participate in them.
“No lessons, no points, not silence, no nothing. We should be able to use our phones in TAP for academic purpose,” said Amar Pajazetovic, senior.
The TAP rules also seem to be bothering a majority of students. In order to receive help from your peers, you should be able to talk in TAP.
“TAP before a test is practically pointless,” said Taylor Matzen, senior.
Sitting in silence, along with no technology, is not going to help students receive the help they need.
Surprisingly, some teachers even agreed with students.
“TAP could be beneficial, but TAP lessons aren’t necessary”, said FACS teacher Carley Ray.
Students do not take the lessons seriously, so it is obvious they do not care and would rather be catching up on work.
“TAP is not used correctly by students. The lessons are beneficial, but students don’t put in effort,” said FACS teacher Tina Clark.
While TAP should be a study hall, it is currently being used for pointless lessons that students do not care about.
