T.V. shows that I fall in love with are rare. I am not one of those people who can binge watch eight seasons of Grey’s Anatomy in one weekend. I have to be invested in the characters, and I cannot feel like the plot repeats itself over and over again like many drama series do, or else I will get bored.
There is one show, however, that I feel like I could watch forever. This show is How To Get Away With Murder. The acting and writing is amazing, along with the suspenseful plot that keeps all of its viewers guessing what is going to happen next.
HTGAWM revolves around lawyer and criminal law professor Annalise Keating (played by Viola Davis) and the five promising students that she selects to work in her law firm. It is told through present time and a series of flashbacks, slowly revealing the circumstances in which Annalise’s husband, Sam, was murdered (no spoilers, you know he gets killed in the first episode), and how the “Keating Five” was involved in the murder.
One thing I like about this show is that I never knew what was going to happen next. I am pretty good at guessing or noticing things, which takes some of the enjoyment out of the show for me.
I can honestly say that I had no idea which one of the Keating Five killed Sam, and when the winter finale came around, I was left speechless with how the events played out.
With more than 10 million viewers per week, How To Get Away With Murder is a show that needs to be watched, so you can enjoy the plot and also panic alongside everyone else watching it, worrying about your favorite characters. If you haven’t been watching HTGAWM, you need to start.
