Five point six million people are apart of a world wide empire of gaming.  World of Warcraft was released on Nov. 23, 2004, changing the gaming world forever. This game is a typical multiplayer online (MMORPG) game but changes quickly as gamers get into the game. Players can battle others, go through dungeons, work on professions and even get rare mounts to show off.

Plenty of people play MMORPG games, but World of Warcraft is showing nearly all of them up. Created by Blizzard; many other companies have tried to recreate World of Warcraft and haven’t come close. Blizzard has created other games including Overwatch and Diablo, which have come far. These are some of their most influential games they have created.

World of Warcraft is a perfect game for gamers to start out in because of the way the game starts out easy. Players learn simple spells and complete quests that can level up their character in a straightforward way. This game is great for other gamers who are more skilled in playing MMORPG games.

World of Warcraft’s six expansion has shown Blizzards’ skill as it has grown. The expansion Legion has brought world quests, better raids, and more interesting content. For players, the social aspect of the game has grown even wilder. The involvement of the game has shown players they can not only enjoy playing but can enjoy having social interactions.

World of Warcraft is more than just a game. It weaves a story throughout the quest line and gives the players something to remember. The game creators did this perfectly in Legion. In the past this hasn’t been as strong, creating too many holes in the game’s story. There are even books that players can read to show off more of the history behind the game. During the expansion, Legion, characters leave a memory in your mind, many die honorable deaths, leaving players ready to fight back for a chance of redemption.

While players run through raid and dungeons with their character, players fight to the death, with gamers fingers that is. This game is much more than hitting buttons on a keyboard. That puts the fun in nearly every part of this game. Players have to remember spells and when to use them. Gamers also have to remember many other things, making you better and faster at the game.

That can be also a bad thing. For starting players in any MMORPG game it’s hard to learn everything so quickly. That is one downside to this game is that everything can be rushed quickly on a game. Some people prefer to take things slower.

World of Warcraft is coming out with the next expansion and gamers are getting ready to play. Blizzard has come out with the game after game but none have topped W.O.W.
