Art Club Adventures

Art ClubArt Club makes a statement with its new endeavors.

Next spring Art Club plans to put up sculptures in the glassy area between the auditorium and the walkway by Mary Eilerman’s room.

“It’s kind of up in the air right now. We go with the flow and do whatever,” said Lindsey Coco, Junior.

The sculptures will bring color to a plain grassy area.

Art Club is making a list of priorities before they do anything.

“As of right now the first thing [on their list] is to work on the homecoming float,” said Jessica Riddle, Art Club sponsor and art teacher.

The sculptures will be on the back burner until after homecoming. Art Club is brainstorming sculpture ideas.

“We might be doing tape sculptures,” said Coco.

Around 30 people showed up to the first meeting and there are around 15 regular members.

This year Art Club wants to expand their experience outside of school.

“We plan on going on trips, like glass blowing. We’re going to Art Hill and having a picnic there, too,” said Coco.

For more information about Art Club talk to Mrs. Riddle in room 207.
