What did you Forget to Pack for Spring Break?

Packing for spring break can be extremely exciting but also complicated given the fact that most students are brain fried. So how can you make sure you don’t forget the most important items at home? If you are headed somewhere warm, the list below includes everything you will need to keep you comfortable and pain free in addition to the obvious items being packed such as toiletries and wallets. With everything else going on, who wants to forget the basic luxuries many tend to forget at home.

  1. Sunscreen- There is nothing worse than sitting in class with bad sunburn. Your pants rub your sunburn and the seats are too uncomfortable to move and find relief
  2. Sunglasses- No one wants to squint when you’re out in the sun all day. Added bonus: You can people watch and nobody will know.
  3. Multiple swimsuits- Chances are you will be at the beach more than once. Getting into a cold, wet swimsuit in the morning is not enjoyable at all.
  4. A towel- While yes the hotel, house or cruise you might be staying on might provide your towels, they might be scratchy, dingy and not washed very often. Grab your own as a backup.
  5. Water bottle- If you’re flying you must leave it empty but bringing your water bottle will keep you hydrated if you will be outside all day in the heat.
  6. Aspirin and aloe- Headaches, muscle aches, sunburn and body aches. Pass the aspirin, please.
  7. Pajamas- I know it sounds silly, but often these are forgotten. These are a must have especially if you are sharing a room with someone.
  8. A nice outfit- Sure, you might be going on Spring Break to relax. But you may also want to head somewhere relatively nice at least once. Don’t be left having to hide your shorts and flip-flops under a table.
  9. Cell phone charger- Even if your phone won’t work where you are going, chances are you are going to use it for pictures, videos and an alarm clock
  10. Chapstick- Chapped lips with no chapstick insight is not cute on anyone.
  11. Jacket- True, you’re headed somewhere warm. But it might get a tiny bit cold at night and you might be grateful for bringing a little jacket, just in case.
  12. Insect repellent- This might only apply if you’re going somewhere that has funky bugs, but you can choose to pack the repellent or choose to be covered with itchy bites during your vacation.
