Oakville (7-17)

Key Players:

12 – Brenden Gillman (So.) : 24 GP*    12.5 Pts./G*   3.40 Rbs./G   44.4 FG%   1.17 Stl./G
23 – Noah Baker (Sr.) : 24 GP*   5.5 Pts./G    3.30  Rbs./G      41.0 FG%   [14 Pts. Last Game (vs. Parkway North)]

Last 3 Games:

2/12: W  –  Northwest Cedar Hill (50-45)
2/16: L   –  Webster Groves (75-40)
2/19: L  –  Parkway North (46-42)

Final Word:

Coming off of two straight losses, the Tigers have a big opportunity to turn things around. Despite having a rough season and a 7-17 record, the Tigers can take advantage of the Panthers’ roster changes, as senior, Colby Maynard (8.5 Pts./G) is out of the lineup indefinitely. Oakville will also be matched up against the Panthers for their Feb. 27 district game at SLUH.

Mehlville (10-12)

Key Players:

23 – Doraine Adams (Jr.) :  22 GP*   13.4 Pts./G*   41.0 FG%    5.3 Rbs./G*      3.32 Ast./G*
40 – Dee Dodd (Sr.) : 15 GP   6.0 Pts./G     53.8 FG%*   4.1 Rbs./G    50% 3PT % (12 FGA)

Last 3 Games:

2/9 : L – Lindbergh (68-41)
2/12  : W – Seckman (81-50)
2/16 : L – Parkway Central (61-55)

Final Word:

The Mehlville boys basketball team will certainly need to get production from everyone in the line-up as senior, Colby Maynard, will not be playing. A win against Oakville Thurs. should give the boys a boost going into the Sat. (2/27) rematch in the first round of districts. Expect seniors, LaTrell Simmons and Dee Dodd to step up and put up some impressive numbers in both games against Oakville this week.
