Every year in the small historic town of Kimmswick, Missouri, a festival is held where family and friends alike gather to celebrate fall activities. From my own experience, I would like to talk about the ups and downs of the yearly celebration.
For starters, the atmosphere is overall enough to put someone in a good mood. With music and food and the small rustic shops that surround the area. It’s a good place to make new memories and meet new interesting people and make memories. But every positive thing has it’s downsides… And I’m going to be honest here, this probably isn’t a place you’d want to take young kids to unless you want to leave with an empty wallet. There are many small shops and booths as I said before and just about anything could catch their eye.
Also if you aren’t a ‘people-person’ I wouldn’t suggest it either… Hundreds of people show up to Applebutter every year and depending on how sociable you are this could either be really great or really terrible. From my own experiences however, I have yet to have a negative experience at Applebutter. The town’s old-fashioned style and charm is just so easy to enjoy and all of the activities and souvenirs just add to the event.
