Mehlville Hosts Special Olympics 2018
Often we forget the struggles that those with physical and mental disabilities face, but on Monday, May 7th, many who face those struggles got a chance to put that to the side for a while and put their all into a sports event.
Last Monday, Mehlville High School hosted the 2018 Special Olympics for the area’s schools. Each athlete was given a buddy to help them have the best possible time. But they were not just high school age kids. Many of the athletes were from elementary schools and middle schools in and outside of the district.
Mehlville Media is pleased to have had the opportunity of photographing some of the amazing athletes during their sports.
