Students who are interested in the business and marketing field should take joining Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) into consideration. The club is sponsored by business teacher Charles Heaton.
FBLA is a type of organization that lets students in on an insight of the Business world, how leadership works, business law, and entrepreneurship. Joining FBLA helps prepare teens for business and future careers in innovation.
Elia Krausz, a member of FBLA explains FBLA as, “a full student-based club, we make events and we host activities.”
Since FBLA is a student-run organization, the members typically plan various amounts of events and new fundraising opportunities during their meetings. Once they would do that, they would then get the opportunity to attend districts, putting all their hard work ethic to use and implementing it during districts.
“[FBLA] helps students become entrepreneurs and hopefully job creators in the future,” said Heaton.
The club has been around for quite some time but wasn’t overly popular. As of this year, they are really hoping for more students to come join to really kick start things. It’s a very recommended club at the moment and is definitely something that people should consider joining.
It is a small club right now, but leaders hope to see new faces join within the new year with a focus of welcoming all.
