Just five minutes away from Mehlville in South County, Taste of Bosnia brings delight to your taste buds each bite. Taste of Bosnia offers authentic Bosnian food based on traditional recipes. Effort is put into each plate and allows you to taste the culture of Bosnian home style cooking. Locals have only positive things to say about Taste of Bosnia.
Taste of Bosnia is a family-run business and from the moment you step in warm greetings hit you everywhere. The fresh baked smell of lepinja (traditional flatbread) and cevapi promises you a delicious meal to come.
Generous portions, clean presentation, and friendly service make this place feel less like a restaurant but almost like a family dinner/lunch. Personally I enjoy their sirnica (Bosnian cheese pita) which is a savory pie filled with warm cheese inside, meeting every expectation of a delicious meal.
If you’re craving something with protein I strongly recommend the Mjesano meso mixed grill platter, which offers generous portions of grilled chicken, cevapi, and a plkeskavica patty and their signature crispy fries. This meal is perfect to share or even enjoy among yourself. One thing I absolutely love from Taste of Bosnia is their kajmak which is a creamy sour cream that goes wonderful with every meal on their menu.
Most importantly don’t forget a dessert. Their sweet sugared baklava and a cup of traditional coffee is a wonderful combination and takes you out of your seat. Taste of Bosnia’s dessert variety is very wide and can satisfy you in any manner.
Taste of Bosnia is a standout to explore Bosnian cuisine in St. Louis, so if you’re in the area, and craving traditional Bosnian food, Taste of Bosnia is the place to go.
