Finding something to do during the cold winter months can be hard. Fortunately there are places to go and things to do. Whether you’re looking to have some holiday fun or finding something to do after the season is over, this guide has various options for you. Not ready for the cold? Skate & Ski

Location: Kennedy Rec Center
Time: Daily public sessions (times vary)
Price: Adult is $5 per person, $1 for skate rental
Features: Indoor skating rink, concessions available

Location: Steinberg Ice Rink in Forest Park
Time: Sun-Thurs. 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Fri. – Sat. 10 a.m. – 11 p.m.
*extended holiday hours begin Dec. 21 (see website for more)
Price: $7 admission, $7 skate rental
Features: Outdoor skating rink and Snowflake Cafe

Location: Hidden Valley Ski Resort
Time: Open daily, hours vary by activity
Price: Passes range $33-$49, Ski/Snowboard rental $31
Features: Hills for beginners to pros, skiing, snowboarding, polar plunge tubing, private/group lessons and mountain dining

Lights

Location: U.S. Bank Wild Lights at The St. Louis Zoo
Time: 5:30-8:30 select nights
Price: Weeknights $8 and weekends are $10 for members, $1 upcharge for non-members
Features: Lights, fire pits, live entertainment and the
penguin exhibit

Location: Brewery Lights at Anheuser-Busch Brewery
Time: Thurs. -Sun. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Price: Free, but packages are available for more features
Features: Lights, ice skating, drive-through tours and other package features

Location: Garden Glow at The Missouri Botanical Gardens
Time: Select nights 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Price: Regular admission is $18 for public and $14 for
members
Features: S’mores, hot chocolate and lights
